What is a Performer?
On PlanItTour, a performer is anyone booked to appear live — not only a band on a club stage.
Artist, athlete, and actor are job names. Performer is the booking word that covers all of them. If a room, promoter, or sponsor is paying you to show up, do the set, play the match, walk the scene, or hold the crowd, you are the performer on that contract. Same paper: who, when, fee, rider, and what happens if the night changes.
- Artists. Musicians, DJs, dancers, comics, magicians, and visual acts perform for an audience. The booking is the show.
- Athletes. A paid appearance, exhibition, stunt, race, or sports demo is still a live date with a fee, call time, and terms — the athlete is the performer on the night.
- Actors. Stage, look-alike, host, and character work is a live appearance. The actor is who the room booked.
